Good Treadmill workout to do with the approaching bad weather for the weekend. You will end this workout doing the last .1 of the 5K at just above your 5K race pace. My goal pace for a 5K is around 6:10 per mile so I finished at 10mph or 6:00 per mile pace.
Start at 7.6 every 1/4 mi increase speed by .2 mph.... run a 5K with the incline set at 1% to simulate closer to what running on the road feels like.
Example if you run a 5K in 23 min or 7:24 pace per mile.
end the last .1 at 8.4 mph.... (a little faster than your 7:24 pace)
Start at 6.0 and every quarter mile increase .2 or >
6.2, 6.4, 6.6, 6.8, 7.0, 7.2, 7.4, 7.6, 7.8, 8.0, 8.2, 8.4 (for the last .1).
